Made For Two

And every time we lie awake
just another minute in this cold and lonely place.
With every nervous breath that we will take,
we'll run and not grow weary, we'll walk and not be faint.

Hold my kiss inside your heart.
Built as one, made for two, we'll never part,
never part.

Two hearts collide, this fire has been lit,
it shines through the night like a firefly in the mist.
We've made up our minds, our hearts have made up theirs two,
listen to my voice, I'll be standing there with you.

Hold my kiss inside your heart.
Built as one, made for two, we'll never part.
Who knew a heart was made for two?

Summer Street

I'm stuck all day in this empty home,
Where everything makes me feel so alone.
The sun beams through the windows,
kills the cold,
Reminding me of something I used to know.
Down the street I can hear the screams,
Children playing in the summer streets.
Reminding me of when I was young,
But hey, I'm still a kid so where's the fun?

It all goes by so uncontrollably fast,
When you make one wish,

all you want is to take it back.
And it makes you think, if you could change the
littlest things, would you think twice?
Because it'd change your life.

The summer songs are playing in my head,
But springs just begun and the winters dead.
When the school bell rings and I get outside,
Now I don't gotta go home to another fight.
The anticipations swelling in my head,
Tearing every little last thread.
Reminding you of when you were young,
When everything seemed like so much fun.

It all goes by so uncontrollably fast,
When you make one wish,

all you want is to take it back.
And it makes you think, if you could change the
littlest things, would you think twice?
Because it'd change your life.

Now I take one step out that door.
It reminds me of the things that aren't there anymore.
From the ice cream truck to my old swing set,
Now I've got my guitar and all my friends.
That dead end street is now a fork in the road,
My old tree house somehow seems like home,
If it wasn't now, a crap-dirt rotted hole.
Where all of it went, ya'know, I'll never know.
